‘Es Teler’ is a kind of cold drink, full of fresh fruit-breadfruit, avocado and coconut, served with special sugar syrup that makes this drink simply delicious.
In 1981, Mrs. Murniati Widjaja won a ‘Es Teler’ recipe competition in Jakarta, Indonesia. Flushed with success, she decided to open a simple outdoor café on the balcony of a shop (Duta Merlin, now Carrefour Harmony) in the center of Jakarta.
This very ordinary, traditional style café was called ‘Es Teler 77’ and became a family business. Headed up by Mrs. Murniati with her husband Mr. Trisno Budijanto, and supported by her daughter Mrs. Yenny Setia Widjaja and her husband, Mr. Sukyatno Nugroho.
